Heat Embossing Contest
1st Place
This card looks more difficult than it actually is. To create the sunset effect in the main image:
- Simply take a circle punch to use as a mask to create the "sun". Temporarily attach it to your White Daisy cardstock, then using the round sponge starting sponging colors around it. I started with Creme Brulee right around the "sun". Then I built it out to Sorbet, then Tulip, then Petal and finished off the edge with Pansy Purple. Build it up slowly. You can always add more ink (can't remove any though!), until you like the final results.
- Then I removed the temporary mask of the sun and then used the reverse punch of the sun (the paper you punched the initial sun from) as a mask to sponge Sunny Yellow with a bit of Creme Brulee inside the circle to make the "sun" yellow.
- I heat embossed in black the floral silhouettes.
- Then I used the VersaMark to stamp the text background all over the sunset effect and heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder.
